Miran Kondric from Slovenia was todays guest for the educational session in Falkenberg. As an experienced and knowledgable handler of the crowd – some forty coaches attending the Hopes week and challenge he delivered very much the perfect package of fun and education. One hour theory on injury prevention for young players ; ” practice more than one sport and do not overvalue the many hours of table practice ” Be open minded and take note of signs of overtraining” was his message to an interested crowd.
Then he peeled down to the floor and engagaed both the young players and the coaches in all kinds of easy to learn moves and talked mostly about good posture – the ability to move correctly and balanced.
Education at its very best using the motto ; Tell me and I will forget , teach me and I may remember , involve me and I will understand. Words that easily can describe the idea of running the ITTF Hopes Week and Challenge – the perfect starting point for an international career..At least if you ask me..!
