Power Personified - Charles Deng from Houston , Texas and the USA in action

Going well in France. The ITTF WHT,  with just two exemptions are still in the race as of this morning.. Still undefeated are  Bryan Afanador – Puerto Rico, Charles Deng – USA ,  Fermin Tenti from Argentina and Patryk Zatowka from Poland.  Christof Christonov from Cyprus registered a couple of losses yesterday – but is in the race.

Pretty impressive showing actually from a few of the players.. Young Fermin Tenti is something else in terms of talent and touch. His game is not always stringed together from a tactical point of view – but the entertainment level is on the other hand tremendously high.. Charles Deng could very well – in a few years,  be the real thing for the growing and fast developing US market.. Powerful he is – good service as well . The head coach Dejan Papic and team manager Zita Pidl is also praising a fantastic concentration and consistency in practice shown by the 12 year old from Houston , Texas .

Among the girls , Salma Khaled from Egypt has advanced without losses to the third stage and aso Janina Neito from Peru and Angelina Tang An Qi from Malaysia , playing in the girls 1998 competition are both through to the final knock out stage starting this afternoon.

Will update later on with more exact results..
